Displaying links

By jwagner45 ·
I'm running Windows 98 with IE 5.0. When ever I clicked on a link a new window would open up in the middle of the screen displaying the linked page. Now when I click on a link a new window still opens displaying the link but it opens minimized all the way in the bottom right hand corner (the same sort of way that word shows a minimized document - except the other corner). I'm guessing that somehow some option must have gotten changed but I can't find it. I checked under Tools-Internet options-advanced but can't find anything that looks like what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have any idea how I can get the linked windows to open up in the middle of the screen again?

I don't know where the settings are for this in the registry but I've had a similar problem. My solution is to click the link, then re size the window & put it where you want it the use file and close. Click the link again and you'll find that it isthe way you want it. I suspect that when you close IE it retains the setting so always close it in the way that you would want it presented when you open it.
