Displaying traps or events on a Cisco 6500

By chameleon2010 ·
Currently, we have a Cisco 6500 that doesn't display linkup/linkdown traps. It does display logs when you save your configuration only. I have played around with the logging buffer/monitor/trap with no results. I know the solution must be simple but I cant find anything on the web.

Logging event link-status

by Rajesh.nishad2007 In reply to Displaying traps or event ...

Try the command
Logging event link-status default or Logging event link-status global
Above command will enable logging for all interface.

Then explictly define no logging event link-status under the interface configuration mode if you want not to monitor specific interface.
