Dissaster recovery by using image

By E.Eliveld ·
Hello,

We're planning to use W2k3 DC's and W2k application servers. Does anybody knows about a online disaster recovery solution, like Ghost imaging without the need to take the servers offline?

Greetz,

Mirroring is allready used. However its not considered to be a 'disaster recovery' methode.

Disk arrays would be another solution.

Disk arrays, mirrors tec work fine when hardware breaks. However when the system breaks down, for example because of a mismatched upgrade, this methodes will not work. The only soultion is to restore from back-up....

I have experimented with V2i Protector (PowerQuest) for servers and it seems to work.
