DLL initialization failed

By ltfaiivae ·
On my NT 4 Server I get error messages of DLL initialization failed with the imagehlp.dll and user32.dll files followed by out of virtual memory. After clicking on OK nothing else happens. There is nothing that happens after that. I get a blank desktop with no icons. I've tried restarting but no luck. I don't know what else to do. Can anyone please help me out? I would really appreciate it

DLL initialization failed

First of all, what has changed? Was something installed on your server? Or were permissions changed? Try to back out if possible.

Can you hit CTRL ALT DEL and get to task manager? If you can go file, new task, and enter explorer and hit OK. Try to rerun your service pack.

Try to analyze those files from the admin shares and see if they are correct size, date, permisions, etc...

Hopefully, you can at least copy off your data from an administrator share or from backups if you need torebuild.

Hope this helps...
