I have a DNS-323 NAS that takes upto 8 Minutes to populate the directories on Macintosh. This solution was billed to me as a MAC solution by a (Sr. Inside Account Manager/ Northeast USA, D-Link Systems, Inc.) 5 Months later after the project is complete and after multiple inquiries to D-link personnel. I find out this is not the case. This population issue for MAC’s is a known issue and needs a new firmware upgrade that is non-existant. Which D-Link has decided is not important enough to fix at this time. Also, since this is a solution for a graphics design department, speed and deadlines are an issue for the kind of work they do. I would like to know, has anyone had this problem with the DNS-323 and what other solutions are out there. I need to pull this solution and look at other vendors while taking the heat on the wasted cost. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
