Can someone expain to me how i can set up a domain controller to also be the DNS Server. I am setting up a small lab to study active directory and when i run DCPROMO,give a DNS name and a netbios name etc. at the end a message appears “Active Directory” installation has failed. I thought if i set up the server with an ip address 127.0.0.1 it would work but doesnt. What confuses me about this is i have set up other servers like this with no problems and went into DNS which configured my ip address to be 127.0.0.1. HELP!!!!!!
