I have a W2K Web server in a DMZ that is fairly locked down. TCP/IP filtering is enabled among other things. Now I want the server to use DNS. I started the DNS Client Service and opened UDP Port 53. Names are not getting resolved. A packet capture with Network Monitor shows that the DNS request goes out and the answer comes back, but the server is either not accepting it or not using it. Anything obvious that needs to be enabled to get this working?
