DNS Error

by rquesnel . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

My portable is setup for networking with TCP/IP protocol and running W2K. I can connect and browse web pages through my proxy server when I am connected to my network. I have setup a dial-up Network connection to the internet when I am away from the office. The problem is the following : I cannot browse to any web pages when I connect through my dialup connection. I receive a DNS error Server NOT Found. It looks like the connection is trying to locate the DNS server on my network. Why ? I can ping the IP address but I am unable but unable to bring up any web pages ! I have configured the DNS for my TCP/IP protocol that was given to me by my Internet provider in the Dial-up connection Server Tab. What I am missing ?

Thanks,

Ray
