I must be overlooking something, but it’s making me crazy, so please help…
I keep getting a DNS error when I try to connect to the Internet via a new W98 computer on my home LAN. Here’s my setup:
Cable modem to Sonic Wall to Hub.
I have a W2K and 3 W98 machines connected without problem.
I am connected to my work LAN. I can see other domains and workstations on the work LAN.
Network settings are as follows:
-Client for Microsoft Networks: log on to windows NT domain is checked with work domain name entered
-Network Adapter is bound to TCP/IP
-TCP/IP properties
*Obtain IP address automatically
*Enable Wins resolution with 2 10 dot addresses listed
*Gateway is the 10 dot for my cable sonic wall
*Enable DNS with the PC name as Host, work domain name as the domain, and 2 10 dot addresses listed
*Bound to Client for MS Networks
-Network Logon is Client for MS Networks
The settings appear to be exactly the same as my other W98 machines. Why can’t I get to the Internet?
