DNS on Winnt/2000

by joshg . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

I need to setup a Web server. My ISP has given me a block of IP addresses. They will handle the reverse DNS (in-addr-arpa delegation)for the IP block. I have never setup DNS before and need some in depth help. I have the domain registered and have registered the host address with Internic for my nameserver (ns1.tdtts.com) my ISP will provide the secondary DNS for the domain. What do I need to configure to get the www, smtp, and pop3 hosts configured for the same machine. This box is running Win2000 and will have Exchange 2000 and IIS5.0 running. Its primary use will be to give users access to their e-mail and web from the same location. It will have limited use so I hope I can get by with on box providing DNS, WWW, POP3 and SMTP service. Exchange Webaccess works and the website works from the IP but would like to get it running by going to WWW.TDTTS.COM.

I hope that isn’t confusing, and can it be done. If so how?
