hi,
recently a dns problem popped up at our company. We’ve been hosting our own website on a remote server, and until recently we could visit it using the domain name (www.it2change.be) just fine. Problem is that we recently added some extra records in our dns for our mail server, for which we had to use the it2change.be domain.
When we now try to visit www.it2change.be or use it to remote connect we’ll get an error. I know the problem is that we try to find the www.it2change.be and our local dns server tells us there’s no such thing because we didn’t made that record.
So, my question is: how can we avoid getting this error when visiting our company website? would distributing some external dns servers through dhcp solve the problem? Or is there another way around?
thanks,
steven.
