dns resolution

I have two computers connected to a dlink dsl router. The first computer (xp pro) can connect to web pages. The second computer (win 98se) cannot conncet to any web sites. Here is the problem the 98 pc can ping out. I KNOW I have good DNS servers set on the 98 pc. But every time I open explorer it says that there is no connection and i get a dns error. Any ideas would be great. PLEASE REMEMBER I CAN PING OUT
