DNS running windows nt4.0

Hi,
I have a windows nt4.0 environment.I do have a dns server. I’ve noticed lately that resolving by name is taking longer and longer, where as resolving by ip address is much quicker the way it should be. Has anybody run into this problem? Anyhelp would be appreciated
