DNS Server Setting Suddenly Changes

by it's just me . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

This problem is driving me crazy! For the past two days, the users on my network would lose internet/intranet access, Lotus Notes e-mail replication and access to servers outside the local LAN at random.

I think I have narrowed down the problem. Most of the time when a user logs on, he or she receives the proper DNS server IP addresses. They receive addresses via DHCP. However, after a few minutes, their DNS server IP address changes to 192.168.1.1.

The server team (offsite) says there are no viruses on our network.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem? If so how did you resolve it?
