I have been doing business with a computer shop that I have been very satisfied with over the years. However I was a bit taken aback when he told me that dialup connections do not need firewalls. When I asked why he said that only DSL and other, continuous connections needed them. These people have a very good reputation, and have done excellent work for me in the past. So I am not sure how to proceed as I notice that Zone Alarm for example takes up so much space and memory. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
