I am working in an environment with a few support techs. There is one (There is always that one) who is downright rude with the end users, and despite all the user complaints, he is still here.
There is another one, a passive aggressive piece of work, who does nothing all day but shop online for his car parts, yet his is still working here.
One may say that the boss is “talking to them” behind the scene, only it’s been months and years, and those two guys are still doing what they’re doing, so I doubt they are getting any “talkin’ to” at all.
Now, every time there is some extracurricular project, the boss doesn’t even bother asking them for any help.
Is there any sense in confronting the boss about this situation? I know that he is well aware of it, so it is not the matter of opening his eyes… I cannot call him an unfair boss, he always recognizes my contributions, gives me raises etc. But it is burning my behind that there is a big elephant in the room, and nobody wants to talk about it. Other techs grumble, but nobody ever thought of confronting the boss…
