Some years ago I learnt the hard way of the necessity of anti-virus software. Now I am hearing a lot about Firewalls.
I would appreciate any suggestions as to whether a firewall is now considered essential on a home computer not connected to any network.
If the answere is “yes,” then any suggestions for a good value-for-money program would also be greatly appreciated.
By “value for money” of course I mean cheap cost, but does a satisfactory job.
Also, is it necessary to have a very recent version of the product?
