Do retired Microsoft exams have a grace period?

By SanjivN ·
It has come to my attention that exams for the MCITP EA/SA are going to be retired on July 31st, 2013. I have also heard that Microsoft exams have a 6 months grace period after the retirement date in which the exams can still be done and that the exams do not truly retire on that exact date.
Could anyone who has done a Microsoft exam after the retirement date or anyone who is positive of the existance of the 'grace period' please give their reply ASAP.

Grace period...

by Rob Kuhn In reply to Do retired Microsoft exam ...

From what I understand you have the ability to sign up for the exams until July 31, 2013. I believe that courses for those exams affected will not be offered after the 31st of July 2013 either.

But I believe what you are askiing as far as the grace period is that you do have a grace period to take the exam after it has been expired. As to the duration of the grace period I do not know.

You should contact your training facility or Microsoft to get full clarificataion on this.

Sorry ... this probably didn't directly answer your quesstion...

Thanks. Atleast I now know that there may be a grace period. The training courses aren't a big problem because I will be doing self-study in order to finish faster.

I would still seek clarification. It could also mean that you have to test on or before the 31st of July 2013.

Good luck with your studies!
