Nuance PaperPort

I've been using PaperPort Professional 11 now for a few years and am, for the most part, very satisfied with it. It's not the most stable piece of software, but I'm optimistic that the latest release (12) is improved. Take a look, maybe that's a possibility.

I went through a search recently to see if there is anything better out there. Unfortunately, I was unable to find anything.

In regards to the online solution, it looks promising, but just consider an SLA that covers backup and recovery, security, and accessibility. And, if that's a new company, consider what you would do if they couldn't make it and went out of business (which I suppose could happen today whether they're new or not!).

Good Luck! This was a good question and something I'm equally interested in.

Doesn't google docs service suit your business? In case it doesn't you may give TeamLab a try. They offer document management feature and project management tool in one web-based application.
