I work for a software company looking to move to electronic documentation versus our current paper files and I have been tasked with the responsibility of getting this up and running. Finding a scanner is easy, but finding the software I want to use for managing the electronic files has proved difficult, because I can’t find software that functions as I had envisioned. So, I am hoping someone can help me find software that works as I would like, if such software exists.
What I’d like is software the works like an electronic filing cabinet. We want to organize our files by customer. With the software open, you would enter the customer’s ID Number and all of the electronic files associated with that customer would be displayed on the screen. You could then open a file by double-clicking on the file.
Does such software exist. If so, please direct me to it, so that I may evaluate the software.
