Does anyone carry around a bridge adapter in their tool bag?

By CG IT ·
I use the Granite Digital 8240 IDE/SATA/2.5 IDE bridge adapter for cloning with Ghost and data recovery of drives. Personally I think their indispensible.

What do you guys use for bridge adapters if you use one?

Sure do

and I'm on my second as it doesn't pay to leave the power connected all the time to the unit. The original can still read small capacity 2.5" drives without power. I use mine at least every second day. It is so quick to setup a drive and use it, the best things since sliced bread.

Very handy tool

Among the many different adapters and multiple interface tools, this one gets pretty good usage. Yes, I try to keep it powered only if neccesary. The unit can be repaired but it is tedious and requires some really handy soldering skills to replace some traces.
