Was brought into a new client [ refered by the new head of operations ] ……. a large rental property management company out of another state
.
Seems they walked in and fired everyone, of coarse all of the passwords were gone , PITA … but not the end of the world …. usually.
.
We have encountered only one program that will not ” play well ” with us .
.
The software company is not much help, reads from the manual [ which I got on-line and printed and used before calling ] .
.
Since we only installed an anti-virus [ they cliam that AVG is an approved vendor ] and cleaned the machines [ took a very long time – 38k items ! ! – as the anit-virus that was installed had not been updated since 2005 ! ! ] they nor us can finger this one out .
.
I personally went there and re-set all settings we changed and killed all anti-virus processes …… still no go.

Oh ….. yea ……. they cliamed that IE7 was the problem as well ….. soooooooo …. you guessed it……. back to IE6 ……. still fobar ……… I am back on Monday and will take my old Windows 2000 [travel] laptop and try it as well ……. me thinks the old employees were given just enough notice to make things sour and we’ve had other issues .,…but this one is the biggest as it is their finacial and background checking program.

Oh yea ……… here’s the best part we inherited this program and it’s license and costs….yes they gave us new passwords …. no support though !!

Support for their program costs by four hour blocks……. upper management is finding us new vendors soon ……. I hope .

Can you imagine loosing a large customer just because …………..
.
Oh well , when we’re gone someone at that company will be getting laid-off and whining to their significant other …….. I don’t understand ………..

Sorry ……… rant was just needed to show my frustration with this company .
