Does anyone out there really make use of DNS stub zones in Windows?

I know what they are for, but I have yet to find anyone using them or even considering implementing them. 99.9% of Active Directory imlementations I have come across and designed myself all included AD integrated zones and the topic of stub zones never came up or wasn’t even seen as a requirement. I know that MS asks about stub zones on their 70-293 exams and gets carried away with those questions, but from a practical point of view, who really uses it? On that note, I have yet to see companies use a Windows server with RRAS for VPN access instead of using some sort of Cisco or other hardware based networking device. Any thoughts?
