Does it matter where you get a degree from?

This is a legit question and I need some help.. I have an A.S. degree from a local college (not a community college or a university). They’re offering a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration w/a minor in Technology Management and I’m considering going back since a) I know the school and the instructors, b) it’s fairly close to where I live and c) I know my credits will all transfer.

The question I have though, is if I apply for, say, a management position (not necessarily in IT) will it (in general) hurt me since I don’t have a degree from a University (I could go to one if I really wanted to but I don’t like the huge classes and they wouldn’t take most of the credits I already have)? Or is a bachelor’s degree a bachelor’s degree no matter where you get it from? Same applies if I go to get my MBA; is having the degree what counts or will I be screwed for not attending a “well known” university?

I know this is probably a stupid question.. but I’m trying to make a final decision soon and don’t want to hurt myself down the road.
