Does TR have an active Obituary Column ??? ...

By OldER Mycroft ·
Well, come on people! It has to be asked!!

How many of us are in the first flush of youth? Not a lot I'll bet!

Should there be a LOGIN that we have to use otherwise we are designated as "EXPIRED" ?

Let me get this right. We are supposed to login with a special logon after we 'expire'??
That is an interesting concept.. How does one login from the netherworld???

Or, do you mean that our accounts just have an expiration date if one does not login with it?

The way it has worked in the past

Generally, someone hears about a peer passing and tells
the rest of us. There are many here that have closer
relationships so we find these things out.

For the most part, we share with the board when we will
need to offline for awhile. And generally, we come back
when we are able and post. That way we can reduce some
of the concern that we feel when someone goes missing.

Many of us never log out of TR. I can't recall the last time
I did. And I generally don't turn off my computer. I don't
know how having to login each time I want to look at TR
would impact my workflow, to be honest.

I keep an informal list of where folks are as I get that
information. I also watch for posting. I will be keeping an
eye out for our Texas peers and Louisiana peers in the
path of the hurricane. I know that it is still a mess down
there but am hoping for good news from them.

There's are "Rapture" groups that do this.

by CharlieSpencer In reply to Does TR have an active Ob ...

Members register and submit electronic communications messages. In the event that selected members or a designated percentage don't log in for a designated period of time, the program "assumes" the Christian Rapture has taken place and the membership has been called to Heaven. It then sends out their final messages to those of us infidels 'Left Behind'.

Your sister gets your final instant message saying you've been called home while you're out on the deck cooking steaks for the reunion. "Uh, Bro, I've got good news and bad news."

That would be funny.
