Does use of cisco switch speed the network?
Someone encountered a problem and asked me. I am not very sure so I here goes..
Quote:
"I was told that Cisco fast Ethernet switch can help in speed up the system performance as the requests will be processed by the switch and not by the domain as is being done right now. We need to put this into consideration for the better performance in future as days goes on data size keep on increasing. In order to have bright performance speed."
I don't think this is true. Is it? Does it justify purchase of a $1000 dollar switch?
Stats and figures will be appreciated if possible.
Thanks
