Domain Controller unable to browse network

By gqstyles55 ·
Hi everyone,

I have a weird problem here. For some reason my server is unable to see any of the domain computers in My Network Places. This just started happenning and I don't know why. I can still get to other PC's on the network if you type \\%pcname%. wierd. Any thoughts

Can you ping all the other servers by both IP address, Fully Qualified Domain Name and NetBios name?

Post your Yes and No back.

TRy the command: Browstat Status and found out which computer is the Master Browser. Some unix/linux machines have been known to mess up computer browsing.

Thanks for your comments guys. I ended up figuring it out. It turns out that NetBIOS over TCP/IP was turned off for the server's connection. As soon as I enabled it, all the pc's showed up in My Network Places. Thanks anyway.
