I’m configuring a new W2K3 server with new clients. I had the networking up and running yesterday after I disabled Windows Firewall and ICS and then turned on Remote Access. I put the server and one new client onto the live workgroup network to share the internet connection and all went well. This morning I get the domain is not available, I can’t ping the domain name, and My Network Places on the client is empty, on the Server it shows just the server — even though the DHCP server issues an IP to the client. I’ve removed the server and client from the live router that shares the internet connect, rebooted everything (in my new environment), checked to make sure Windows Firewall service is still disabled, checked to make sure RRAS is still running and it is. Can anyone tell me what changed or what’s wrong?
