I am currently creating a web page for the law firm I work for. This is my first experience with doing this but I am enjoying it. We’ve decided that instead of having our ISP host our domain we are going to do it ourselves. To offset the cost of doing this we are going to look at hosting domains for others as well. I have never done this before and am looking for resources to show me how it all works and how to set it all up.
I plan on using a dedicated machine running NT4 and IIS. Because we live in a rural town the only high speed internet option we have is ISDN. I really know next to nothing about setting it all up and would like some ideas and hints. Websites with good info would be great as well as any books you might recommend.
I don’t see us hosting more than 10 or 15 sites total and these would NOT be high traffic sites. Lot’s of points for the person(s) with the most helpful info!
