domain name change

By tzutzasialbu ·
Hi folks,

My boss wants to change our employees email addresses from xxx@firstdomain.com to xxx@seconddomain.com.
We have a 2k3 domain with a 2k Exchange Server with around 200 mail boxes.
Could you please guide me on the steps that I have to take in order to do the change.

Thank you.

Are you looking to change your AD domain name? Or do you want that to stay the same and just be able to receive and route email for seconddomain.com?

Both are very different operations.

I have followed the procedure below for the first option.

The method in the link should work for that.

Thanks for answering my question.

Basically what we want is the email addresses not to be show as the @firstdomain.com but as @seconddomain.com. Which one of the two methods you described would work?

Thank you.
