A domain is a group of users

by robo_dev In reply to Domain

Typically a company has a domain that is the same as the company name.

Thus everybody who works at ACME logs onto a domain called 'ACME_USA' or something similar. If ACME is a medium-sized company, they probably have two domain controllers, called something like DC01 and DC02, and those servers let everybody do their Windows login and so forth.

A domain is a group of computer users that do not suffer for the limitations of a Peer to Peer Network.
