Is there a way to recover data from a travel drive when it all of a sudden won't show up under My computer? Help!

have you tried it in another computer?

Maybe the USB port on your computer isn't working properly or there is another problem with your computer. You could try booting to a Knoppix Live CD and see if that sees your USB drive. If it does you could then copy the data to your hard drive because knoppix will also see that. There is data recovery software available that you normally boot to when you aren't able to see the drive that can sometimes retrieve the data. Good Luck.

I did try it in several computers and then tried another travel drive in them and the other one worked fine. Any suggestions?

If no other computers are detecting the drive,something is wrong with it. If it contains valuable data, you can have data recovery experts look at it. It tends to be quite expensive. You may want to have a hardware tech at a computer shop look look at it first, to see if there is a simple broken/bad connection of some type. Unfortunately, not the kind of thing we can help you with here unless you can see something that might be the problem.
