I am having a problem with a DOS Database Application. Upon opening the database, you are prompted for username and password. In older machines the window would pause for a few seconds before going to a blue screen activated by touching any key toenter the username and password. With the new systems and running new software (Windows NT Network, Windows NT clients and a few Windows 2000 clients) the screen for entering the username and password is almost instantaneous. The database has never been updated and approximately 10 years worth of records require access until we can import the data into newer applications. My temporary workaround was to copy the application to a slower computer and sharing the drive thus slowing down the application. Any suggestions for getting this application back on the server where it belongs would be appreciated. Tried modifying the PIF entries, no such luck.
