How do I create a DOS system boot disk from WNT 4.0? Thanks

You can make a repair disk using RDISK.exe if this is what you mean... This will boot up a NT 4.0 box

If I don't have access to W95 or 98, can I create a diskette (in nt4 ) that will allow me to boot to DOS?

Go to http://www.bootdisk.com

They have dos boot disks that you can download there.

NT 4.0 can not create a DOS system disk!

Also if you are thinking of using this to boot your Win NT 4.0 system, you will not be able to access the disk if it is partitioned as NTFS.

There is a utility called NTFSDOS that can read NTFS from FAT or FAT32

I don't have much experience with this utility, but I believe that it can be put on a 98 boot disk, so the comp boots off the disk but can read NTFS

again, I haven't used this as such, but here's a link:
