Dos client logon to Windows server

    Locked

    by ellisd ·

I take care of a small school network. I store program files on the server. How do I set up a dos disk to start a clean machine and log onto server to down load program files to the client machine.

depending on your network environment (network cards, etc) you may have some luck with the network boot disk located out on http://www.bovistech.com. Click on the ‘bootdisks’ menu to download the disk that you need.

If you have PCI network cards, thereis a couple of bootdisks that have an autodetect feature that will choose the correct driver for you as you boot.

During the boot up sequence, you can select from domain, set your IP or select DHCP, passwords, etc. If you are on an NT domain, your login script will even run. Pretty cool…

      Good luck!

      Try this site also. http://www.nu2.nu/bootdisk/network/

Also don’t forget about Client services for windows or is it Client Administration on an NT 4.0 server.
