Dos commands

Need to know what the DOS command is to obtain IP Address on a PC that cannot boot up on windows anymore.

If the drivers are loaded for the network card you can use the (ROOT:\ipconfig /renew) command to be issued an IP address. This will work only if you have DHCP working. If you do not a DHCP server then you can assign an IP address using the ROOT:\ipconfig /? for the correct paramaters supported by your Operating System.

The command is ipconfig. use ipconfig/? for checking the options that are supported.

You need "MS Client for DOS" - it about 1 ot 2 diskettes. You configure that it should work via TCP/IP and configure IP-address, file sharing etc. However, you'll need packet driver for you network card.
