DOS key for Win 2000

By mbertel ·
I have a user that wishes to install the DOS key so he does not have to constantly retype the same DOS command. Could some one instruct me how to do this for Windows 2000. Thank you very much.

simply create a new shortcut link on the desktop and set the target to whatever the commend for DosKey is.

However, if DosKey won't run on Windows 2000, you may need to investigate the program ApCompat, which you can find on the retail copies ofWindows 2000. Run that program and tell it that DosKey should be run as a Win 98 program ...

You don't have to. Win 2000 doesn't based on regular DOS apps. If you want to use regular command line in W2K (e.g. command prompt) doskey already installed and comes with OS built-in.

I hope this will answer to your question..
