I have a Windows server 2003 using roaming profile support and the issue I am having is we use a dos program that prints reports using lpt1. Now in the beginning the server had the laser printer installed locally on the lpt1 printer port and in the login script I had the following command “net use lpt1 \\server\hp1200” and now I have moved the printer onto a workstation that will be printing out the reports but after removing the command out of the login script the profiles will not release the lpt1 redirect command and the printer that is installed on the local lpt1 port will not print either windows apps or the dos app. Does anyone know how to clear out the profile so the local port will work? I have even tried to delete the profile off the server and the workstation and recreated the profile from scratch but still no printing off that port. Help!!!
