I’ve seen this from time-to-time on Win95 and now have a Win98 PC with the same problem. When the MS-DOS Prompt is opened, either in full-screen or Window mode, it pops up the following message:
“This application attempted to access a device thatis being used by another application.” It asks if you want to continue and when you respond Yes, the DOS session seems to be fine. It will only happen on the first occurrance of multiple DOS sessions. But if you open a DOS session, repond Yes to the error, close it and open another one, you get the error again.
Things I’ve tried that didn’t work: removing Anti-virus software, disabling network card.
