DOS Workstation on Windows 2k Server?

by qhcomputingny . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to have a DOS workstation (one that boots up as a command prompt using the Windows 98 OS)
Log on to a Windows 2000 Server when it is in the DOS Command Prompt Mode.
What I am really trying to ask is if you have a computer that has a Windows 98 Operating System and you have it boot up to a command prompt every time so that you can run a DOS program, can that computer (while in DOS Mode) print to a printer on a Windows 2000 Server. If so, then how? I wanted to use the net use command, but of course that is not a command in Windows 95 or 98. What would I use to properly map the printers and the hard drives on the windows 2000 server on these Windows 98/DOS workstations. Hopefully you are not confused by this message.
