Default settings

With the power off, hold the "on line" button and turn on. This should give you the default settings and how to change them.

Great Googly Moogly, how did you dig that up?

by CharlieSpencer In reply to Default settings

I remembered you had to hold down a button while turning it on, but I couldn't remember which one. Did you Google it, or do you actually have one of these still in service?

There's no "On Line" button

by NickNielsen In reply to Default settings

The LQ-300 has Font, LF/FF, and Pause buttons. To enter Printer Setup mode, hold the Font button. I still support these dinosaurs; got the user docs on the laptop.

I knew it was one of the buttons

I would have remembered that button but couldn't remember which. I knew you held one of them and turned it on. Epson uses that throughout their whole lineup.

Line feed is the LF/FF button

by NickNielsen In reply to DOT MATRIX PRINTER TROUBL ...

Press and release (do not hold down) to advance the paper a single line. To select Printer Setup mode, turn the printer power off, press and hold the FONT button, then turn the printer power back on.

Download the English language docs from http://preview.tinyurl.com/yh4fwol and use those as guidance for setting your printer up.

edit: corrected.
