    downgrade IE

    Client installed ie6.0 and found out that one of the companies that they have to access does not support 6 and the apps won’t load. When you try to install IE 5.5 SP2 over it it tells you there is a newer version already there and cancels out. When you try to uninstall 6 it only gives update or repair options the uninstall is not available.

      And if all else fails, reinstall Windows, “replacing” the current install. Of course that means likely re-installing some or all of the existing apps, etc.

      BTW: that’s the sort of thing that got M$ dragged into court. But it ain’t really been resolved, yet. Has it?
