Any Success In Downloading the Article?

by Wayne M. In reply to DOWNLOAD:Improve employee ...

I don't know which side of the fence the problem is on, but I have not been able to download this article after several attempts over 3 days. Has anyone else been successful?

The error I am getting is:

Internet Explorer cannot download emp_eval.zip from techrepublic.com.com. [verbatim from error message]

Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requiested site is either unavailable or cannot be found.

I hope this is helpful.

Improving on the Improvde perf evaluation form

by conways In reply to DOWNLOAD:Improve employee ...

I think this is a good general set of criteria to evaluate on. A further step to make the form more usable and consistent between employees is to create a "rubric" for each score for each area. For example under - Communication

5-Employee's written documents are clear and consise and never need editing.
4-Employee's written documents contain a few erros and minor editing and review is required.
3-Employee's written documents require moderate review and minor restructuring
2-Employee's written documents contain gramatical errors and do not clearly communicate the intended message. Require significant editing.
1-Employee's written documents are confusing, contain extensive gramatical errors and require major revision.

These type of rubrics for each of the 5 areas need to give examples of what each scoring level consist of for that area. Addition of these rubrics significantly ease the process of assigning evaluations and increase consistancy between ratings of different employees.
