downloading a driver

I needed a cd rom (cheap). I have a 95 windows program. I got a used cdrom – company name is lite-on to try and see if it works-if not, I can return it, but anyway, I guess I need to download a driver for it. So, I went to the lite-on website and proceeded to down load information, but it would almost get done downloading and then say something like illegal parameters or something like that. Anyway, can I download a driver for the lite-on cd rom Model # LTN403 or should I return it and not bother with it. Or should I just go to circuit city and buy one (new) or do you know where I can obtain a good used one????
