drive mapped on 2000 server losing conne

by bam86_be . Updated 23 years, 8 months ago

We experience an ennoying problem for a short time: in our network whe have a 2000 server (wich is also Domain controller) with disk space for our clients. Every user has a drive U: mapped to his personnal folder on the server.
Sometimes win 98 client (and never Win2000 ones) loses their connection with their drive getting an access denied error message when trying to access a file on that share.
After that the user’s account is locked and the only way is to REBOOT the client AND unlock the account.
Our network is as is now from about 1 and 1/2 year and this occurs only from 3 month.
At that period we change from a .BAT logon script with “NET USE” command to a .VBS with WScript.Network object’s method : “MapNetworkDrive”
has someone an idea ?
