DSL and Internet Connection Sharing

by thestudent . Updated 25 years, 2 months ago

I have a DSL connection that goes directly into a Windows ME computer. This computer is connected to a 10/100 Mbps Linksys hub with two other computers.

Prior to getting my DSL connection, I used Win ME’s Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) so that all my computers could access the Internet simultaneously. My DSL provider had me disable ICS because they claim there is a conflict. Sure enough, if I try to re-establish it, I can connect but I cannot pull up a Web page due to a DNS error. I’ve checked my network settings and no DNS information is in the network properties that I could copy. Help! How can I share this Internet connectivity with my other computers ? I have network experience (but not with ATM, which I think this is).Anyone have a solution ?
