I have a remote user tunnelling into my Windows Nt 4.0 network through a Sonic Wall firewall using the SonicWall client software. She has recently gotten ADSL connection through Mindspring/Earthlink and is using a DSL modem (I’m not sure of the model, I haven’t been to the site yet), a Linksys BEFSR81 router. There is one other pc on her home network connected to the router…both pc’s are running Windows 2000 Professional. The issue is that she can connect to the network through the tunnel, has a sync light on the modem, but IE 6.0 will not open web pages. The second pc which does not have the SonicWall client software is not having any connection issues. I have tried static DNS addresses, no luck. She brought the laptop in to the office and I have no problem connecting and surfing. I feel it is a setting in the router and that she may need a VPN router, but I have had this configuration on home networks before and had not trouble. I would appreciate any insight any of you may have. Thanks in advance for your input.
