DSL VPN connection slows Network Places

by tstanley . Updated 24 years, 10 months ago

I have an ISP that uses PPPOA/E for the DSL that they offer. I am running win2K on 2 machines in a Peer2Peer network. When I initiate the VPN connection to get Internet access, My machine(Igateway for other PC) takes more than 30 seconds to accessany network resources such as computers, folders (NOT PRINTERS). The other PC does not have this problem accessing my machine. I assume because it is not connected directly to the VPN.

My best guess is that Network Neighborhood or My Network Places(whatever the hell we had to change the name of that for is beyond me) is looking at the ENTIRE DSL VPN system for computers that I have configured in my workgroup.

Anyone have any suggestions on how I can side step this problem?
