I had windows xpx64 as my primary o/s and windows vista as the second. I was having some trouble with drivers on the WinXP x64 and decided to put on WindwosXP x32 as I had vista nearly comlete with 64 bit drivers, only driver I could not get was my webcam, but on vista I could live with that. I done a complete backup of WinXP x64 before installing winXp x32, as well as the boot sector on it’s own. I forgot to backup the boot ini setings, so now after installing WindowsXp x32 I do not get the menu for booting to (Older version of Windows)Xp x64 or Vista. How would I go about getting the duel boot working instead of having to install Vista x64 again. I used Paragon Hard Disk Manager 2008 Professional to backup my 64bit WinXP and boot sector. But when I try now to restore the boot sector it says (you cannot do this on this system) If anybody could point me in the righ direction with this problem I would be very greatfull.
I used to use Acronis to backup my system and with , you could explore the image by mounting the image as a disk, but I can’t get at indivual files with Paragon.
