Dual Boot Vista-Xandros won’t boot Vista

by rob.pilgrim . Updated 18 years, 5 months ago

I have just installed Xandros Desktop 4 on a new Acer 4310, which i bought because it is available outside Australia with Linux preinstalled.

The Vista section of the Dual Boot won’t boot, it just goes blank after being selected.

I cannot access anything in Windows, but I can see from Xandros File Manager that the Acer System Recovery set up is in the D partition. however, it’s not responding to the alt/f10 which should set it running during boot up.

So, as I have no Vista DVD … is there some other way to get the Acer System Recovery to run.

Why? Xandros is giving me some problems and I’d like to install Virtual PC to try some other Linuxes
